Jennifer Hudson Performs ‘America the Beautiful’ With Sandy Hook Elementary Students at Super Bowl XLVII
Jennifer Hudson kicked off Super Bowl XLVII Sunday night with an inspiring rendition of 'America the Beautiful.'
Before the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers competed for the win in the big game, Sandy Hook Elementary School students took the field to sing the patriotic anthem.
The 'American Idol' alumnus then stood center field to continue on with the song. Dressed in a sleek black top and white pencil skirt, Hudson beamed while reciting the lyrics.
After the tragic shooting that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Conn., on Dec. 14, 2012, the inclusion of the students at the Super Bowl in New Orleans was an honorable way to remember the victims.
