Human Remains Found In Hewitt
The Gilstrap family thought they’d found deer remains until they discovered a skull and rib bones. They called police, who confirmed that two sets of human bones were present.
Police have no information about the deceased, nor have they determined the cause of their deaths. The remains have been sent to a forensics lab in Dallas, and Hewitt police say they will treat this case as a homicide until they have more information.
Hewitt Police Chief Jim Devil said there are no missing persons reports in the city, but his department is checking with other departments in the area.
