What would you do if you were a homeless mother of two living in your vehicle? Shanesha Taylor tried to get her life back for her and her children, but was arrested while on a job interview.

Shanesha Taylor is a homeless, single mother of a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old living in Phoenix, Arizona. It has not been reported how long she was homeless or if she had family in the area to help her, but whatever the case is, she tried to fix the problem herself.

On March 20, she was arrested after interviewing for a job. While on the interview, she left both children in her Dodge Durango with the windows slightly cracked. Someone alerted the Scottsdale Police Department because one of the children in the car was crying. At the time the Scottsdale Pocile arrived the children had been left in the car for 30 minutes.

Police arrested Shanesha and charged her with two felony counts of child abuse and her children were placed in child protective custody. According to Taylor, she stated to the police that she did not have anyone to watch her children while she was interviewing with the insurance company.

I think this is an unfortunate event for all parties involved. I commend Shanesha for attempting to try to pull herself out of this terrible situation and not soley relying on the government to take care of her and her children, but at the same time the safety of your children is very important. If I were in her shoes, I believe I would have taken my kids in the building and explained my situation to the employer. Sometimes people respect you more when you hit them with the truth.

Fortunately for the 35-year-old mother, there has been an online fundraising drive to help pay for her legal expenses. To date, they have raised more than $27,000 and 975 supporters. I can say now, that she has 976 supporters, because I am going to support and donate.
