If you watched the Oscars Sunday night (Feb. 22), more than likely you were rooting for Common and John Legend to take home the Best Original Song win for "Glory."

The pair was up against the Diane Warren-penned song "Grateful," which was performed by Rita Ora at the ceremony; Glen Campbell's "I'm Not Gonna Miss You; "Everything Is Awesome" from The Lego Movie; and Adam Levine's "Lost Stars" in the category. When Common and Legend were announced as the winners of the golden trophy, the hip-hop and R&B community celebrated their peers' major accomplishment on social media.

Rhymefest, known for his work on Kanye West's Grammy Award-winning hit "Jesus Walks," wrote the track along with Common and Legend.

From Public Enemy frontman Chuck D to fellow Oscar performer Jennifer Hudson, a slew of artists voiced their support. "Chi town stand up!!! So proud n happy for @commonand @johnlegend yes ! Yes! N yes ! Such a powerful moment ! So Proud to witness," the singer wrote along with a photo of herself giving Common a high five with his trophy. Chuck D offered his support by posting an image of the two entertainers onstage "SALUTE @common and @johnlegend #Oscars2015 from @rapstationradio crew @hiphopgods," the rapper stated.

Fellow G.O.O.D. Music family members Kanye West and Pusha T also delivered positive towards Com and Legend. "GOOD LUCK TO MY FAMILY COMMON AND JOHN LEGEND ON THEIR OSCAR NOMINATION!!!!! SO PROUD OF YOU GUYS!!!!," the "Only One" creator wrote before the ceremony began. "S/O @common and @johnlegend on that Oscar win... #TrueInspirations," Pusha tweeted.
