Every...and I do mean EVERY election cycle, in order to get your attention off the lack of "quality" choices in terms of "candidate", our government officials create these "hot button issues" that have absolutely NOTHING to do with the day to day lives of Americans, but its touchy enough to enrage and garner attention and support from MILLIONS that when it comes down to it in the end, nothing "radical" has happened. A few years ago it was "gay marriage" a few years later "immigration", this year's meaningless debate is one of transgender people using restrooms. I'm going to explain to you why you shouldn't take the bait on this issue.

You've seen and heard on the news how Americans are up in arms because of a North Carolina law that limits the civil rights of transgender, gay and lesbian people under the guise of "protecting women and children". Once President Obama got involved, all hell broke loose on this issue, but why? For the sake of time, I'm going to let Florida Congressman Alan Grayson explain the "Great American Bathroom Controversy" as he did recently on the floor of Congress.

Isn't odd that America in the 1950's seems to have showed more maturity than America is showing today, with our great bathroom controversy" - Rep. Alan Grayson- D- FL.

So why is this an issue? Since the beginning of time, transgender people have been using the bathroom of their choice, but (look at the timing) you feel like that they shouldn't be allowed to use a restroom of their choice because what? I'll await your response below, but recognize that there's BIGGER issues in our country than this and this is trite and stupid.
