I know its kind of weird to be giving out an "award" to an "award show" but this is deserved. Once again, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and their annual award show "The Oscars" have largely ignored the roles of African Americans in film in front and behind the camera. The nominations in almost every major category are all white and mostly male but the show will be hosted by Chris Rock, how crazy is that? Will Smith, Michael B. Jordan, Idris Elba, and the cast of one of the biggest movies of the year "Straight Outta Compton" received ZERO nominations despite many in the film industry calling their performances "Oscar-worthy". And social media, in its always creative way, roasted the award show with the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite.

Consider for a second this fact: 46% of all movie goers are minorities despite the fact that they only make up 37% of the population according to their OWN study! You would think they would be more attentive to that fact but clearly they aren't. The question now is, Will Chris Rock roast them live in front of a worldwide audience or will he remain silent? For ONCE AGAIN disrespecting and not acknowledging the talent of amazing African American actors, actresses and directors, for every award speech that takes too long, I'm playing this song:
