According to the city of Harker Heights, unfortunately, the Fire department had to respond to a structure fire at SakuraJapanese Cuisine and Sushi Bar yesterday, Sunday, April 14 at 10 AM. This restaurant is located at 598 E. Central Texas Expressway and is in the single commercials strip near Indian Trail. The business itself was not open and was unoccupied at the time and even though the fire was visible in the nearby kitchen area, it was able to be extinguished by the Harker Heights fire department.

Harker Heights Fire Department also confirmed that there was no fire extension to any of the neighboring occupies. The cause of the fire happening in the establishment is now under investigation by the Harker Heights Fire Marshal office.
