Happy Birthday, Toni Braxton! The famed R&B singer turns the big 5-0 today (Oct. 7).

The Severn, Md. native reached unprecedented accolades during her prime. Braxton sold over 10 million copies of her self-titled debut album worldwide, earned herself six Grammys. In 2015, she took home Best R&B Album for her duet album with Babyface, Love, Marriage & Divorce and she's landed two Billboard No. 1 songs.

Braxton was the cornerstone of L.A. Reid and Babyface's LaFace Records. "We called her the first lady of LaFace," Reid has said. "She was our diva. Clive [Davis] had Whitney [Houston], Tommy [Motolla] had Mariah [Carey], and we had Toni."

Her story was told via Lifetime biopic. Premiering in January 2016, Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart was produced by Braxton, and covered her triumphs and tribulations, including financial woes, health issues and being the mother of a child who has autism.

Braxton is prepping her next album, Sex & Cigarettes, for release in 2018. She's just released a new video for the track "Deadwood."
