Today (Jan. 11th) is Mary J. Blige's birthday and we're celebrating one of the greatest singers of the last 20 years by JAMMING her classic hits all day long!

Born in 1971 in New York, Mary was discovered when a recording of her singing in karaoke booth caught the attention of Uptown Records CEO Andre Harrell. He immediately signed Blige and after a few years singing back up on various Uptown recordings, she released her debut album "What's The 411?" in 1992. The album was an immediate SMASH going TRIPLE PLATINUM and it was a game changer with its fusion of hardcore hip hop beats with Mary's soulful singing.

Thirteen studio albums, two live albums, two remix albums and over 80 singles has lead to over 55 MILLION albums and 15 MILLION singles sold worldwide. 9 multi-platinum albums, 2 gold albums and her NEW album "The London Sessions" out in stores now featuring the SMASH hit "Whole Damn Year" is the reason why Billboard named Mary "The Most Successful Female R&B Artist of The Last 25 Years (2006) and Rolling Stone named her one of the "100 Greatest Singers of All Time".

Happy Birthday to "The Queen Of Hip Hop Soul"!
