Architects will meet with officials from Heart of Texas Goodwill later this month to discuss rebuilding the Goodwill facility in Copperas Cove, which burned down in March.
The meeting will establish a timeline for the rebuilding and reopening of the facility. The property was cleared several weeks ago, when the insurance investigation was concluded.
The building caught fire in late March. The roof collapsed and the building was engulfed in flames. The cause of the fire is unknown, and evidence of accelerants was not found by arson-detecting dogs.
While the facility is being rebuilt, a donations center has been set up at 804 E. U.S. Highway 190. Donations can be dropped off every day between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
