Gatesville Skull Mystery Solved

A human skull found in the Leon River in Gatesville early last month is now believed to be the same skull which was stolen in a robbery in Hamilton County in April.

The skull was found by two men in Brown Park and taken to local authorities. A search of the area did not reveal any other bones.

Gatesville police confirmed that the skull was one of several items reported as stolen in the Hamilton County theft. The skull was released to Hamilton County investigators.
