Fort Hood Bomb Squad Investigates Copperas Cove Home

Fort Hood’s bomb squad and Copperas Cove Police searched a home in the 500 block of Meggs Street Tuesday night.

Area residents near the home were evacuated and roads as far as two blocks away were blocked after officers arrived at the scene around 5 p.m. Residents say a bomb squad robot was seen moving back and forth between officers and the home. Officers have not yet commented on what was found inside the house, but the area was determined to be safe shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday morning.
