Don't freak out if you see fire in the sky Tuesday or Wednesday because Atmos Energy is busy at work.

According to KXXV, Atmos Energy will be performing controlled natural gas flaring on Fort Hood on Tuesday and in Temple on Wednesday. A flaring is a standard practice to safely burn natural gas that must be removed from a specific section of the pipeline so that employees can work on the pipe.

Fort Hood's maintenance will take place at 31st Street between Tank Destroyer Boulevard and Battalion Avenue on Tuesday while Temple's flaring will happen 11601 Little River Rd. near E. Blackland Road on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
