The FDA issued a warning recently that Z-Pack may trigger a potentially deadly irregular heart rhythm in some patients, according to an article from CBS News. The cold and flu season may be winding down, but if you have a bacterial infection, often treated with Azithromycin or referred to as Z-Pack, you could be at risk.  The article states that not everyone is at risk.  Those who face the greatest risk have low potassium or magnesium levels, take meds to treat an irregular heart rhythm, or have a slower than normal heart rate.  I learned from this article that I am NOT a candidate for Z-Pack, and wondered how many others may not be aware.  Click on the following link for more information.
