CTC Haunted House and Fall Carnival 2014

Central Texas College (CTC) will host its annual Haunted House and Fall Carnival this Friday and Saturday, October 24-25. The haunted house will be held inside Bldg. 122 which is located next to the school gymnasium. The fall carnival will be a short distance from the haunted house in the Mayborn Science Theater. The event is open to the public both days from 6 to 11 p.m. and offers activities for the entire family including games, costume contests and food.

In addition to carnival games, the Mayborn Science Theater will also feature Halloween-themed laser light shows. The show schedule starts at 6 p.m. with “Laser Halloween” followed by “Fright Light” at 7 p.m., “Laser Halloween” at 8 p.m., “Halloween Spook-tacular” at 9 p.m. and “Laser Hallow-SCREAM” at 10 p.m. Other carnival activities include a costume contest, karaoke and trivia contests.

A tour of the haunted house costs $5 per person and the cost of the carnival games starts at 50 cents. Food costs will vary. Each of the rooms in the haunted house has been designed by the campus clubs and organizations. Tickets can be purchased at the door and 10 percent of all proceeds from the event will be donated to the CTC Foundation Scholarship Program. Other proceeds will help fund the campus clubs’ community service projects.

The haunted house can be accessed from Clear Creek Road by turning onto Central Texas College Drive. Then at the stop sign, traffic can turn left and park in the lot of Bldg. 139 across the street from the haunted house or use the adjacent parking lot of the campus gymnasium. To get to the carnival activities in the Mayborn Science Theater, turn right at the stop sign and proceed down the hill.
