"Dishwasher Safe" generally does not apply to people. That was news to an escape inmate who decided his girlfriend's dishwasher was a good place to elude Jasper County Police last week. He choose poorly.

20-year-old Wesley Evans, from Silsbee, was already being held on robbery charges when police took him to the hospital after he suffered a hand injury in jail. Evans then fled the hospital, and decided to hide out at his girlfriend's apartment...INSIDE the dishwasher. Evans now faces additional charges of escape and assault.

Seems like there's no line of defense attorneys waiting in the wings on this one. There is no legal counsel listed as representing Evans, and he is now being held on a $172,500 dollar bond.
