Dozens Arrested in Sex and Human Trafficking Sting

An undercover sex and human trafficking sting went down Friday and it was a relative success. 

According to KWTX, McLennan County investigators announced that they arrested dozens of people in a sex and human trafficking sting Friday night.

As of Friday 56 arrests were made, and 5 people were still being searched for.

Charges range from promotion of prostitution to compelling prostitution, to prostitution, and conspiracy to commit human trafficking and continuous trafficking of persons and prostitution of a minor.

For over a month detectives posed as both prostitutes and customers. Plus, in five cases, suspects face federal charges for transporting prostitutes across state lines.
