Delayed Reporting for Fort Hood Workers July 15
Saturday’s water main break near Belton Lake has been fixed. But water restrictions are still in place and some communities must still boil their water.
On Fort Hood, Monday was a day off for nonessential personnel, and Tuesday (July 15), soldiers will get a late start.
The water main break also means Fort Hood residents are boiling water until further notice.
As for working on July 15, physical training has been cancelled and Soldiers and Airmen will report to work at 9 a.m.
Department of the Army civilians will report to work at normal reporting times. Contract personnel should contact their employers for reporting times.
Fort Hood Child Development Centers will be open at the normal time to receive children.
Physical fitness centers will be open beginning at 9 a.m.
Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center and outlying clinics will resume normal hours and staffing July 15. All outpatient clinics will be operational and patients should plan to keep their appointments at respective clinics.
In light of the continued conservation status, surgeries will continue to be handled on a case-by-case basis. Patients with scheduled surgical procedures can expect to receive instructions directly from their care team. Labor and Delivery will assume a modified operations plan. Patients should call the Triage Nurse at (254) 288-8398 or (254) 288-8400 for instructions.
The Emergency Department, Inpatient Services, Pharmacy, Lab, and Radiology will continue normal operations. Beneficiaries with emergent medical concerns should report to the Emergency Department for care.
CRDAMC staff should plan to report as scheduled.
