Crime has dropped in Killeen but murders and rape cases are on the rise, KWTX reports.

'As difficult as it is to address domestic violence and rapes, this community must find a way to mitigate them' Killeen Police Chief Dennis Baldwin said.

According to the numbers, murders increased by 70% with the number of rape cases increasing by 66%.

On a more positive note, data also shows non-violent crimes, burglaries, vehicle theft, and larcenies decreased in Killeen in 2015.
