Cosby Kid Raven-Symone Comes Out Via Twitter
Child star and former "Cosby Show" alum Raven-Symone made a major announcement on her Twitter page today, effectively coming out to her fans and followers.
Raven-Symone became popular in 1989 when she was added to the Cosby show to garnish more viewers. She then moved to "Hangin with Mr. Cooper." In 2000, she moved to Disney with the series "That's So Raven" playing a psychic teenager.
She then transitioned to the big screen with rolls in "Dr. Dolittle", "Dr. Dolittle 2", and "College Road Trip."
Raven-Symone was recently ranked number eight on VH1's "100 Greatest Kid Stars of All Time" list. She was also ranked number one on Loop21's "10 Richest Black Actresses Under 40" list.
Rumors have circulated for years about the former child star's sexuality, but she has refused to directly address the issue. In 2012, responding to a rumor that she was living with former America's Next Top Model star AzMarie Livingston, she tweeted
My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I'm datings to know. I'm not one for a public display of my life.
Raven-Symone is currently re-tweeting people wishing her congratulations on Twitter.
