After garnering rave reviews at both the Sundance Film Festival and SXSW, the official trailer for Boots Riley’s film directorial debut Sorry to Bother You is here.

The movie is described as a sci-fi/fantasy satire that takes place in the world of telemarketing. The film stars Atlanta's Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Terry Crews, Omari Hardwick, Armie Hammer, Danny Glover and Steven Yeun.

Stanfield plays Cassius Green, a 30-something telemarketer with self-esteem issues who discovers a magical selling power of being able to talk white to secure a sale. As he rises up in the ranks of his company, things go awry when Cassius meets his obnoxious, cocaine-snorting CEO Steve Lift (played by Armie Hammer). What Cass didn't expect is what he will have to sell-out in order to stay at the top.

Sorry to Bother You was written and directed by Boots Riley, who is the frontman of his '90s rap group The Coup. Ironically (or not so ironically), The Coup's last album was called Sorry to Bother You (2012). The film also features a score by alternative artist Tune-Yards.

Sorry to Bother You will arrive in theaters on July 6.
