Chance the Rapper, Wyclef Jean & Jessie Ware Remake ‘Arthur’ Theme Song
Ready to let your nostalgia flow as Chance, along with a musical collective called the Social Experiment, takes us back to the days of the sweet animated show on PBS called 'Arthur,' which follows a young aardvark's adventures with his family and friends.
However, unlike the upbeat reggae tune, Chance's remae takes a more orchestral and anthemic approach. Starting with a light piano intro with the sporadic cymbal clash, a number of voices start ad-libbing the lyrics 'everyday could be wonderful.'
If some of those voices sound familiar, it's because they are from some of your favorite artists including Jean and Ware, as well as Elle Varner, Francis & The Lights, Eryn Allen Kane & The O’My’s, Peter Cottontale and Donnie Trumpet. While they add their own vocal improvisations, they all come together in one epic choir.
Originally recorded by Ziggy Marley, this version sounds like a new 'We Are the World' collaboration that just spreads so much positivity and makes us tip our hats to Chance for making the project happen.
So if you need some uplifting today, put this song on repeat.
