There will be three days of activities April 23-25.  It starts Thursday, April 23, 6 pm, downtown at the Green Avenue Farmers Market. The  Kick Off party starts at 6 pm. Entertainment includes two bands, Pavement Ends and The Voodoo and Moonshine Band.  Vendors will be there, along with food trucks, and kids can ride the miniature train. We do have a while before the actual celebration so I will be reminding you as the days go by.  You can see the full schedule of events right here. That website also links to applications for everything, including food trucks, and vendors.

You think I have time to come up with a BBQ recipe? I expect if I use the HEB fajitas, that's cheating.  I'll keep working on that.

Oh yes, the whole celebration  wraps up Saturday night with a free movie in the park, "Big Hero 6" and a free fireworks show.

Now back to the BBQ Cook-Off, can I use a Microwave?
