A major congratulations goes out to Channing Dungey who places her mark in Black History this week as ABC Television named her entertainment president making her the first African American to lead a major broadcast network.

Dungey grew up in Sacramento and graduated magna cum laude from UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. She was an executive with ABC's parent company, Disney, for over a decade and helped develop "Scandal" and "How To Get Away With Murder" and was recently the No. 2 creative executive at the network before yesterday's announcement.

Again, a major congratulations to Ms. Dungey on her success and for making Black History Today!
