Belton Car Burglary Suspect Arrested

A 20-year-old man Belton was is in the Bell County Jail Wednesday facing nine counts of burglary of a motor vehicle.

Police allege Cody Blaze White is just one of two people responsible for a string of car burglaries in the Leon Heights area.

According to police, an officer patrolling Leon Heights spotted White and another suspect running into a wooded area around 2 AM on Thursday, August 4. The officer soon discovered that several locked cars had been broken into in the area.

In a press release, Belton PD Public Information Officer Paul Romer said police have identified the second suspect, but " anticipated charges against that individual have not yet been filed".
