Americas New Tennis Star!

Who are the greatest Female American Tennis Players in the world right now?  If your thinking very hard it means your trying to think of anyone other the Serena or Venus Williams.  These two sisters have been Americas only major tennis championship winners for over ten years.  Tennis is racing against the clock to create new Tennis stars, and training the young is now starting at 6 and 7 years old.   How bad is it for America? Well if your name is not Serena or Venus Williams it means that there will be no championship victory.

However, a bright light has shown favor on us, and revealed a new and young hope for the US.  Her name is Taylor Townsend and she is only 18 years old, but could be the next big tennis star. In 2012 she became the first American in over two decades to rank number 1 on the junior circuit.  This week competing in the French Open she recently ousted French star Alize Comet.  This wouldn't be a big deal, but Alize Comet is ranked # 20 in the world.  A bright light shines on a bright new star.
