One 'American Idol' finalist was eliminated last night (May 9), bringing the show one step closer to next week's season finale.

Candice Glover, Kree Harrison and Janelle Miller, the three talented divas who beat out thousands of competitors for a spot in the Top 3, all contributed major performances to the show this season, but everyone was still shocked by who America decided to send home last night.

The three sang a mediocre group rendition of Hannah Montana's 'Who Said.' After last week's 'Glee-esque'-Alvin and the Chipmunks-infused version of Beyonce's 'Crazy in Love,' we expected a more upbeat, adult performance, but sadly the girls just didn't deliver. It's as if this group wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

Mariah Carey gave the Top 3 a music video 101 class in her recording studio and debuted the video for her new single '#Beautiful' featuring Miguel. Her vocals were on point and she has never looked better. The video features Carey in a sexy two-piece shorts set riding behind the R&B sensation on his motorcycle.

Also, Alicia Keys made a guest appearance looking radiant as always. She stole Angie's spot behind the 'American Idol' stage and sang her own track, 'Tears Always Win.'

And Season 10 contestant Lauren Alaina returned to sing her new single 'Barefoot and Wild.'

Candice Glover received the first spot in the finals next week (no surprise after she threw down last night). Tensions were high when Ryan Seacrest finally announced that Kree Harrison snagged the final spot, eliminating Angie Miller from the 'Idol' competition.

"She had the best combination of home story and song," Jimmy Iovine said of America's decision to keep Kree, whose parents died in unrelated accidents.
