A Republican takes an unpopular stance (again)
Former Secretary of State General Colin Powell, a Republican who served alongside George W. Bush has declared his support for a second term for President Barack Obama."I voted for him in 2008 and I plan to stick with him in 2012" Powell said during an interview with "CBS this morning" earlier today. Of course hard core Republicans see this as almost what amounts to treason within the party, but General Powell was quick to point out he believes the President's economic policies were helpful in turning around the economy and that he is not a fan of Republican challenger Mitt Romney's foreign policy ideas." I'm still a Republican says the General but "of a more moderate mold" Seems to me we need more moderate thinking Republicans like General Powell in Congress, i'm just saying!
