Outsmarted by my Smart Phone!

So I took the plunge into the world of the Galaxy Note II...

I was really excited to get started with my new “toy”, and being the tech savvy person that I am (ahem), I assumed that it would be as simple as following the icons, with little instruction, and I would be up and running in no time.  

To my surprise, I was rapidly brought to the reality that I am not as tech savvy as I thought!  The features on the Note II are awesome, as demonstrated by my son, who can operate this device with his eyes closed.  He showed me all these neat things that the phone could do and how I could incorporate this and that into my daily routine.  

I get my new “toy” home and basically this is what happened:  

I CAN’T GET IT TO “GO”!     =0(    

I searched for the instructions, and they were minimal.  I went on line to find a manual and it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack, so I just kept pressing until something worked that I could get excited about.  After two days, I have learned to retrieve a message and download an app.  =0\

I’d like to think that I am a pretty smart cookie when it comes to things of this nature, but I am feeling quite delusional about my phone abilities right now.  OK, I give up!  Having been outsmarted by my "smart phone", I will have to resort to “Cell phones for Dummies”, or maybe I’ll just call my grandkids!  They will come to Nana's rescue!
