50 Cent Talks Diddy in GQ!
50 Cent is holding nothing back while promoting his forthcoming LP, 'Animal Ambition.' The rapper sits down with GQ magazine to discuss everything from his dislike for Diddy to the strained relationship with his son.
"Me and my son, we don't have a relationship anymore," he tells the magazine. "It's based on his mom. He's adopted her way of thinking... I don't have anything negative around the concept of kids."
At the moment, Fif is reportedly single, but he does have a certain theory when it comes to relationships, and he says everything starts with the true friendship.
"I think friendship is the strongest form of relationship," he states. "Don't ever forget to be friends... because there's a point that your friendship would develop that it has so much value that it would become priceless. And at that point, you should consider marriage."
The Queens, N.Y., native also spoke about his rift with former group members and childhood friends Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks. Just like he alluded to in earlier interviews, he blames himself for their professional shortcomings.
"Imagine a plant," he analogizes. "If you spent ten years watering it, it'd f---ing grow. [If it didn't grow] doesn't that tell you need to get new seeds? I enabled these guys. Now they felt entitled to success they didn't earn."
And perhaps surprisingly, he doesn't even miss Banks and Yayo, and says he's not sure if they were ever really his friends. "I wouldn't have been a friend if I didn't help them," he explained. "But helping them hurt them...maybe I was paying them to be friends."
Suddenly, during the interview, 50 went into dissing Diddy out of left field. "He's a sucker," he snapped. However, the comment wasn't all left field when you ponder it, since he's shot a few words at the Bad Boy Records founder before.
And was the Diddy diss just to create a little controversy before 'Animal Ambition' comes out? Not at all, says 50.
"You think I celebrate that kind of thing?" he asked the interviewer. "It's not to pick fights."
It'll be interesting to see if Diddy says something back.
