5 Shows MyKiss1031 Listeners Want To See Replace Roseanne
After Roseanne Barr's racist tweets led to ABC cancelling her reboot of her sitcom "Roseanne", a lot of us are now moving on to find out what shows from the past deserve a reboot. So we took it to Facebook and asked the following:
We got some pretty interesting opinions! Some of you want some classic sitcoms brought back like "Martin", others want some of their favorite action shows back like "The Six Million Dollar Man". We got some of your answers and here's the top 5 that you want revived that could fill the time slot Roseanne left behind.
A lot of yall want to see a reboot of the 70's hit TV show "Good Times" which was known as television's first African American two-parent family sitcom about a poor family and their attempts to escape their poverty. Back in 2016, there was talk of a reboot along with The Jeffersons but we're still waiting to see what becomes of it.
Rumors have been flying recently of the possible return of the 90's sitcom "Martin" starring comedian Martin Lawrence and cast mates Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold. The trio recently met for dinner and told reporters that something is in the works so this could become a reality sooner than you think!
Another series a lot of folks are demanding a reboot of is "A Different World" which debuted in 1987 as a spinoff of "The Cosby Show" but quickly gained a massive audience of its own with its look at life on a HBCU campus.
Another 90's sitcom that could become a reality sooner than you think is "Living Single". Last year, Queen Latifah one of the show's stars said that she is developing a reboot but added “It’s not there yet, but hopefully we can get it happening.”
The #1 answer we received the most was "Family Matters" which ran for almost a decade from 1989 to 1997. The Winslow Family and Steve Urkel ran for 9 seasons and its the 2nd longest running sitcom starring an predominately African American cast behind "The Jeffersons". For now, you can enjoy past episodes on Hulu.
