2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration At Harker Heights Event Center

Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration of the ending of slavery in the United States and this year, the Harker Heights Event Center will host its Second annual Juneteenth Celebration this Sunday.

This event is FREE and open to the public and great for the entire family featuring vendors, live entertainment from poets, dance groups, gospel and hip hop music performances and a natural hair show. Also enjoy cultural restaurants with a "Taste Of Black Killeen".

There's also a kids corner with bounce houses, video games, a hula hoop contest and more. But don't forget about the EDUCATION that come along with this event which features and a walk through Juneteenth museum where you can learn about the history of this significant day.

The Juneteenth Celebration takes place Sunday June 17th from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Harker Heights Event Center located at 710 Edwards Drive.
