The murder trial for Samuel Edward Baker is set to begin jury selection today, 24 years after the murder occurred.

Shellie Latham was found stabbed to death in her home in Belton on Sept. 10, 1989. The case was unsolved until 2012.

Baker, who was one of the original suspects in the case, has been held in the Bell County Jail on $125,000 bond since his arrest.
